I have to repair some rust on the hood and the trunk, and was wondering if I should make an effort and paint them matte black!
A kind of racing light, what do you think?
Something like this on:
Must it be stock?

One of mine is painted similar. It kinda gives it a racey look:

Maybe you should look for a spare hood and trunk lid, paint them black that way you can have both looks when you want. Now if you can only figure out how to keep a clean look when you remove the bumpers.

I didn't like the looks of my 71 when I first bought it, but the look kinda grows on you.
