It sure does! Are you going to dyno this engine and share the results?

Re: Supercharged 1608
Here we go trying to put everything in the finished engine compartment. Have clearance issues with the fuel rail, the horns won't fit in the stock location with the alternator on the drivers side. I was trying to have the car running for France and Italy next week, won't make it. Still have all the wiring that has been changed to terminate, cooling system plumbing to finish(short 2 hoses), brake system to finish(with or without compensator) I will just keep working maybe next year.

Just like your other car Halg. Very Impressive. I wish I had your knowledge. Then I would be dangerously cool.
Re: Supercharged 1608
Hal, if you had to recommend a new radiator, what would it be? Looking at one for my 77' spider.

Re: Supercharged 1608
Ventura Ace and i did a bunch of testing to see the differences with the internal and external thermostat, from that it appears to me the stock radiator provides all the cooling required even with a modified engine. That of course assumes all items are in good shape. Ace takes impeccable care of his Spider. I went with an aluminum radiator with a larger core because my supercharger adds a tremendous amount of heat to the engine.

Re: Supercharged 1608
I dont see an intercooler for the super, are you going to run without one? Engine looks great.
Is that a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
Too bad about the inlet and outlet of the radiator on the same side, will it cause any hardships? What computer are you running for fuel.
Looks so good.

Re: Supercharged 1608
Since I am only running 7lb boost I shouldn't need an intercooler. The radiator with inlet and outlet on the same side is by necessity, the supercharger blocks the lower passenger side of the radiator. Iam using an SDS engine managemant system.

Re: Supercharged 1608
Know any good places to pickup a new radiator? I've only come across a couple, and compared to most on the market, they seemed way overpriced, for new (stock style) replacements. (Current one is starting to slowly leak from the top of the radiator)

Posting on an old thread here, but very curious about the project!!! Can you give some more details on the supercharger you chose? I have read of people using the Volumex, some Toyotas, and Eaton M90. The pictures looked like an SC10/14 Toyota. Is Ogura the OEM of the Toyota?
A couple of comments at turbo124.com were down on the SC14 "busted seals".
Just wondering what your experience was. I have been toying with the idea of building up an engine with the SC10/14 over the winter. Quite pleased to see what you had done. And I really enjoyed looking at the pictures of your work. Nicely engineered!

Re: Supercharged 1608
Wow, great looking job!
I'm kinda surprised you were able to reuse the original cam gears; I'd of thought you would need adjustable ones with all the mods you've done.

Re: Supercharged 1608
On some other post I stated that the choice of supercharger was due to the cost of this one(free)I couldn't find any positive information on where this supercharger was used(I think Scion) The cam sprockets are adjustable you just can't see it.

Hal,
Beautiful work on the headers and intake . Did you do this or can you purchase them. Have you dynoed the set up up yet?
I'm in the parts gathering stage, I have an original Volumex and a Toyoda 1.2 liter with a magnetic clutch. Trying to deside if going the FI and SDS system or Carb like the Fiat solution. I'm very interested in your results. Will you be at Freak Out this year?
