I noticed a crack where the top hinge bolt to the door; I have the same crack on both of my spiders? have anyone take action over this issue, I wonder what would be the right procedure?

I've heard of people welding the crack closed, Francisco, but I don't know how it's done. Does anyone know if this happens to the later models more than the early ones? I've had 4 early models and never had this problem.

Tommy was talking about this problem. It's apparently the "hinge box" weakening inside the door. The proper fix involves cutting the door open from the inside (this work is later hidden by the door panel) and repairing/reinforcing them. Here in Los Angeles, there are several Fiat mechanics who can do it for us. You'll have to check around your neck of the woods. I heard the going rate for this procedure here in CA is $250 per door.
