Seams a bit cheap for an Abarth. Looks like the picture was taken at a car show. Who wants to call and badger the seller?

Re: Real Ad???
Looks either like a scam or someone who doesn't have a clue what he has. Dang, I sure would like to take advantage of him if it's the latter!

Re: Real Ad???
I've got a feeling that if there's actually a car for sale here, it's not the one in the photo. But even if it is, that car is not a real Abarth. While it may have been separated from its original hardtop (the car in the photo has a soft top) the original Abarths certainly didn't have the larger rectangular indicators on the fenders. The wheelarches also don't appear to have the fiberglass flares, I think it's just black paint.
All in all, a pretty good Abarth tribute though!

Re: Real Ad???
That is a nice mock up of an Abarth Stradale. There are many small details missing (and a few large ones) and some left from the regular 74 model.
Not real!

Re: Real Ad???
Even if it's not the real thing, it looks to be worth every penny of $2500. The rims alone are worth $500, if not more.
I just talked to the seller: He's had the car 5 years, did all the Abarth mods himself. 1800 engine, T belt replaced 8 months ago, "everything works". Willing to go down to $2300.
I think this is Fiasco's new car...if not his, then my new car.

Re: Real Ad???
Appraiser comes tomorrow to look at the Fiasco. Adjuster wants to wrap up the claim by the end of the week. It all depends on the dollars, but if everything goes as planned, I'll be looking at this car this weekend.manoa matt wrote:I think this is Fiasco's new car...if not his, then my new car.
Then again, since when has anything gone as planned . . .

Re: Real Ad???
Just curious if anyone ever went to see this car. Looks like the posting was deleted by the seller. Was it a scam? Was it real? Did someone here buy it? Even it being an Abarth replica, it looks like it was probably a pretty good buy -- though it's hard to tell by one small photo.

Re: Real Ad???
I'm still waiting on insurance, so I haven't tried to go see it yet. I'm dissapointed that the ad has been taken down, but I was growing more suspicious of the ad anyway.
