Ive decided to autocross my '69 spider since its totally bare anyway, I have a later 1600 engine, although its in unknown condition, what would be a good choice for a powerplant? rebuild the 1600? Or go for something bigger, I was originally considering a transplant for something turbocharged, but I dont think Im going to go down this route anymore,
Thanks!

Re: Autocross
Speed isn't the main importance in autocrossing and I find the higher revving engine of the 1600 better since I tend not to shift gears very often.

Re: Autocross
2Ls make gobs of torque, and are great for accelerating out of slow corners. You really don't need really high revs for autocrosses
