Quality of replacement rubber seals

I just got a new top installed and I decided to replace the the rubber seals around door and between the top and the windshield. The problem is the replacement rubber is smaller than the original rubber. The door seal is just a bit smaller than the original, but the top rubber is quit a bit smaller. I can put the seals on and I guess they'll keep the water out. Is there another option? Do all the rubber seals come from the same supplier and I just chose poorly about where to buy them?

the rubber seals vary from vendor to vendor. There are several different manufacturers. Most vendors have found something similar to the original stuff and are using that since no one is making Fiat replacement stuff these days.
