Here is my coil over suspension for the rear. I fabricated the upper bracket from an the original ring that surrounds the rubber mount. The long bolt only holds the upper in place (carries no load) The lower mount is a heave duty version of the stock lower mount. The springs are 175lb and compress from 10" to 8", giving plenty of adjustment

Re: Rear coil over suspension
Very nice, but what are the advantages to having a coilover unit vs the original shock and spring? Are you going to change the front end to a coilover? I can see an advantage for the front if it makes it easier to change out shocks and springs.

Re: Rear coil over suspension
Some times we do things just because we can. In this case the coil overs allow easy change to the ride height both front and rear. You can also change the stiffness of the ride easily. I have said in the past I won't make any of the mods I do for others because I don't carry the necessary liability insurance. I will however give anyone the information(sketches and photos) to do the mod themselves.

I came empty handed when shopping around, I haven't done any welding in 4 years but I guess now is a good time to start. Halg can you post or pm me the budget for this? (ie parts list and price)
