x 1/9 powerplant swap

started a swap a while ago to a honda b16b. 185 ponies, didnt get to far due to the economy and other issues life keeps slapping you in the face with. in the last 3 days something came up out of nowhere and the b16 b is gone and in stuck with 300 plus ponies to put in th x now.

Looks like time for some sheetmetal surgery to stuff that puppy in there.

300 horses, that will require some serious tire and transmission.

Nice toy.

the only sheetmetal mod wil be stuffing the turbo where the gas tank was. the rest is just mounts. its smaller then the b series that was sitting in the engine bay, and that didnt need any cutting.

kmead, the transmission is already there. fully built with an lsd already in place.

There is an X 1/9 up here in the San Francisco Bay Area with a similar swap. I've had the opportunity to see it once. Really fast and a very clean install. Looking forward to seeing the completed swap. Looks good.
