Is there a source for JUST the pump or a replacement that can be used on the stock windshield washer bottle for an 80 Spider. My bottle cleaned up like new and is fine but the pump is a rusty frozen wastoid! I got the old pump out but see where I will need some sort of gasketed ppress fit replacement as there ain't no way I am ever going to get a retainer ring back on the inside the bottle side (how did Luigi do that?).
I know some vendors carry the whole assembly but I really only need the pump?

Re: Windshield Washer Bottle Pump
It's extremely difficult to replace the pump. You're right, it has a retainer ring on the inside of the bottle that has to press on. I tried everything I could think of, never got it tight enough. I think it would take a tool like a valve spring compresser, but with a verry long neck. There was a thread on Mira a while back where a member drilled two holes in the bottle, and made a clever little puller to do the job, then sealed the two holes. I can't find the thread though, sorry.
