Hi Rey - GC was very helpful when I was getting the specs together for the engine, and I used his big valves and his tapered valve guides. When it was all spec'd out, he made a calculation using some formula that he uses, and estimated what the HP would be. I have no idea what that calculation is.

The engine is being built in Dallas by Csaba Vandor (formerly of VAS), and will be dyno'd when it is finished, hopefully in another few weeks. There are some component pics in the "Performance" forum, posted on July 24th. There is also a photo of the motor with the TBs fitted in the same forum, posted on August 5th. In addition to the motor, we have fitted a 2.0L cross member to get some clearance under the B coupe's hood. You will remember from LA that the 2.0L carb'd engine I had in the car then was just touching the hood, and I couldn't get the clearance I needed between the hood and the airbox, unless I used air cleaners that pretty much suffocated the carbs. I'll post the HP results, but it will be the HP at the rear wheels, not the crank, so we'll have to estimate, but around 160 HP at the crank would be great in my mind.

i was just wondering because he did the 1800 head on my 2 liter a while ago. he had to have valve guides made up because he said i had a very early 1800 head that used guides he didnt have at the time. he told me at the time that i didnt need bigger valves or heavy springs. g c installed a new set of factory springs instead. i have his billet cams and he reworked the head at his shop. allison put the block together at his shop using crofts fast road specs. i never got an estimated h p rating from croft beacuse i didnt ask. i got an estimate elseware, ballpark, it was a little lower then yours, but impressive anyways. i have one of allisons complete exhauts also, the very first design. not the stepper. if you ever looked at his site and saw his exhaust mounted to an engine on a stand, thats my setup before it went in. the last step on my car would be individual throttle boddies like your doing. when your done any info would be appreciated. in the mean time i need to get this x swap going again. thanx
