Hello everyone
I am looking to expand my modest collection of service/repair manuals for my 79 spider.
I already have the Linea/Rosso factory manual as well as the Clymer Fiat 124, 67-81 shop manual and related wiring diagrams.
I noticed that IAP offers a Fiat Spider shop manual (item # 04251) as well and I've heard the Brookland manual mentioned here too.
You thoughts/opinions on either of these two would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jim Hayes

Re: Service/repair manuals?
I have a Brooklands that I use more than my factory manual.
1972 124 Spider (Don)
1971 124 Spider (Juan)
1986 Bertone X19 (Blue)
1978 124 Spider Lemons racer
1974 X19 SCCA racer (Paul)
2012 500 Prima Edizione #19 (Mini Rossa)
Ever changing count of parts cars....It's a disease!

Re: Service/repair manuals?
The Brookland manual is the Clymer manual. They must have been bought out at some point.
Re: Service/repair manuals?
I have the Brookland and a reproduction copy of the Fiat service manual that I bought on ebay. I use the service manual more, it has more illustrations (helps out when trying to remember how to put things back together). I also have a Haynes manual that came with the car, but I never use it since I have an '80 with F.I. and it only covers up to '78. You might also want to download Brad Artigue's electrical diagrams, they're very helpful also.

Hello everyone
Thanks to all of you for your responses.
I kinda figured that the Clymer/Brooklands item were one and the same.
The one thing not answered was whether or not the IAP service manual was a good addition to one's library or merely a reprint of the factory item as their website/catalog provides little descriptive info?
Thanks again, Jim Hayes

Re: Service/repair manuals?
The IAP factory service manual is basically a reprint of the original factory service manual, with the addition of a few IAP logos.
I have several of the original Fiat factory manuals in OK shape and one IAP factory service manual in excellent shape. Also have a Chiltons manual. send me an email if you are interested in any of them. matt.scarton@gmail.com
