Wow, awesome looking interior! I bet it even makes the car drive better, huh?

Re: Reupholstered Red Spider
lovely, but what happened to the clock? It's got these funny numbers and hands rather than a translucent face
Re: Reupholstered Red Spider
Thanks Denise... yes the upholstery adds to the 'drivability' of the car.. no issues on the car except for the minor irritation of not being able to drive it due to the heavy rains daily here in Georgia... I mean it's really soaking here!
Mark.. I think I might have the only 'real clear' working clock on the boards... LOL... I removed the clouded plastic glass and replaced it with mineral glass, also I replaced the gears in the clock with new metal/nylon gears, I can't believe the Italian clock makers used cheap plastic resin gears for these clocks (the gears were trashed when I was removing them they simply crumbled in my hands), now it works like a champ... better than new!

Re: Reupholstered Red Spider
Really beautiful. Did you do the work yourself? Where did the new vinyl come from?
Re: Reupholstered Red Spider
Mike... thanks... it was a lot of work... tried to do it before the summer ended.
Doug, I did all the work myself, if you go into the previous postings in 'Custom' board' you'll note the progress. The leather is 'German Leather' same stuff they use on BMW/Mercedes, everything in the car is of this leather, the wood was refinished with cherry veneer, the carpet is custom fitted by me and is a one piece installation with Dynamat beneath it all. The brake boot and wood behind it was due to damage on the original console... I think it looks way much better than the original console... what do you think?

Wow, I'm even more impressed. I thought that looked a little too nice to be vinyl! It looks so good covering everthing, and the console and boot look great. Very very nice.

That is incredible workmanship - congratulations! Are you going commercial next? Where did you put the heater fan control switch?

Did you do anything with your mags ?? The look very clean. I have the same mags, but not as clean as yours. Did you paint them ? If so, how did you get the original coating off them.

Thanks everyone...
The wheels I have are the 'magnesium' type, I use Mother's Billet polish to clean them up... works great.
I thought about doing the upholstery fulltime/commercial but don't think it'll keep me busy enough, have to stay in engineering to pay the bills unfortunately... maybe later.

Extremely nice, Nick! The wood and boot around the parking brake lever is clever, and better than original, in my opinion. I'd love to see the car in person one day.
