Talk of a NEW Fiat Spider

I was in one of those massive book store yesterday here in montreal and I came accross this magazine from french called L'Automobile that usualy has a lot of good scoops. In this particular issue they had a spread about the return of the Italian cars and it featured the the new Alfa 169, the up comming fiat Topolino and yup you guessed it the Fiat Spider

According to the Spider article, it will share the chasis of the upcomming Abarth roadster which is actually a Lotus chasis. The Fiat spider will be fully electric in the same vein as the Tesla roadster.

thats the Spider in the top left hand corner, looks like an artists rendering but man it would be amazing to own a NEW spider, although I would prefer a gasoline powered one

Veery interesting ,,but,,I donno ,,sort of like a new one to come out ,but not sure if I could except the change ,, I know they would sell though.. undecided at this point ,,thanks for the info and pictures .. I guess I sorta feel like they could ruin a good thing we have now .. maybe getting older is harder to except change ..LOL LD's 2 cents worth ..

Looks kind of cool, but I don't know about the electric thing. If it's like the Tesla, it would be ex$pen$ive.

I think the price would be way cheaper then Tesla Fiat is Huge Tesla is a new company with one model

I like it. Kinda like the new Mustangs and Cameros. True to form but modified. Looks really cool but I agree, the wizz of a golf cart can never replace the sound of your motor running like you want it to. But, look on the bright side, it's electric so they can just make some WAV files of a really nice running Spider and hook it up to WHATEVER you use to make it go to give you the illusion of driving something COOL!

I wonder if it will be a PC or MAC?

Uggh! Enough with the eco-friendly stuff already. Besides, I'd rather pay $4 per gallon for gas than face the electric bill that recharging a car would incur.

Let the 'greenies' have their Toyota and Honda hybrids but please keep your hands off my bei motori italiani!
