Tail of the Dragon/Cherohala Skyway Cruise?

Post by ga.spyder »

Is anybody in Southeastern U.S. interested in a ride thru the curviest, most scenic 130 miles on the planet?? I am thinking maybe late Sept. or early Oct.Start in Robbinsville,NC and ending in the same. There is a map of this run http://www.tailofthedragon.com/maps_loop.html It would be a oneday deal,130 miles total. If you havent run the 'tail' before ...its a must.I guarantee you will be tired of twisting the wheel by the end of the day(probably 500+ turns).Unreal scenery, with a lot of the ride being a mile high.Let me know and we'll set a time.I may run it this weekend just for kicks and giggles!

I gotta win the lottery. Then I could do nothing but drive around the country and not miss any of these get-togethers!

Craig, sounds like fun. Are you planning to participate in any of the 3 day drive going on in a couple weeks? I'll be home from the Outer Banks and my fishing trip. I may try to do a day or two.
