Finally snapped some pics with the new wheels... enjoy!
Re: Finally snapped some pics with the new wheels... enjoy!
That is a beautiful car. I love silver cars. Not at all a common color for Fiats, as far as I know. I think it works well with the lines of the Spider. Extremely well done.

Holshot,I really like those wheels. The whole car looks great. After we talked about tire size,I had decided to go w/195's on mine. However they were out of stock and I was up against a deadline,so....new 205 Kumhos. I removed my spacers also, just to tuck them ina little further. They are useless with that much positive offset.Good luck,Craig

No worries Ron... I didn't even notice myself until you mentioned something, lol
Hey Craig, thanks again for your input in our earlier discussions we had in regards to the wheel stuff... let us know how the 205's work out for ya. I'm curious to see how they look on the rims and if there is even a difference that is noticeable. Your car is absolutely beautiful and thank you for the pics you sent me!
Thanks to everyone else who has commented it really means a lot...

Great looking Spider. I have the same wheels waiting to go on my Spider (which is currently still in pieces being restored). I went with 205's and they do not bulge at all on the wheels. I'm anxious to see how they will look when mounted on the car.

I like the wheels and bumpers!
I also like the ride height. Can you let me know what the measurement from ground to top of fender opening front and rear? You said that you installed lowering springs, did you install them front and rear? And from where did you source the springs?

The springs are the set that International Autosports sells, it is a complete kit so its both front and back springs. At the time of the spring install I went ahead and did the struts as well (Koni). Hope that helps... The cars on jack stands as we speak while I'm mocking up a test pipe to go in place of the stock cat. so I can't get you those measurements as of now but in a few days when I finish I'll be sure to get them for you.

Holshot,
Outstanding look! I was just looking at the Rota website. I like the black version for my black car, but I was looking at the size list and did not see a 15x7 +15 listed? Also it shows the lug spacing as 100 not 98. Is this an issue? Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. I was going to search for Panasport or something like them, but this is surely the answer.

Deacon, I'm not sure exactly what is available through the Rota website as I purchased them through a distributor but I can tell you that they are in fact 4x98 which is the correct lug pattern for the Fiat hubs and they're a +15 offset which is clearly marked on the boxes. I was torn myself on the color choice as they did have gunmetal as an option which I thought would have looked good as well but I'm happy with my decision in the end and I'm not looking back one bit! Hope that helps...

Good looking wheels and tires. Can you give me some specs on the hole pattern and size, set back, and spacer requirements? I am researching after market wheels and tires for a 78 and 81. Thanks, Emo.

Yes, thanks.
Re: Finally snapped some pics with the new wheels... enjoy!
I contacted the US ROTA distributor and they had me contact 18 Racing.com They had the 15x7 +15 with 98mm lug listed specifically for the 124 Spider and priced at $550 with shipping and in stock.

That's where I got mine from... they were ok to deal with. There English isn't the best and the wheels didn't ship when they promised, almost a week later, but all in all they got here with no issues.

I wonder if they are the only source? I contacted another rota dealer, and they had never heard of 4 x 98. I requested they check in to it and they came back saying they can not get them.Holshot wrote:That's where I got mine from... they were ok to deal with.
