Anyone have suggestions on how to get my rear brakes to stop sticking. I am running out of ideas. I have rebuilt both rear calipers twice, and they do not seem to stick when cold. I can press the pedal and release, and the wheel spins fine. New pads, rotors, I bleed them for what seems like forever. I put in a new compensator, and all new lines in the back.
I cannot confirm this, but it seems like it gets worse if I drive for a period of time without using the brakes. So if I am in stop and go traffic, they are fine, but when not using the brakes for 5 or 10 minutes, pressure builds up. This may just be because they get hot, but not sure.
Could a bad booster or master cause this?

Rear brakes stick and overheat
Re: Rear brakes stick and overheat
I had an Alfa once that would lock up the front wheels. The problem turned out to be bad brake hoses that collapsed internally. Once I replaced the hoses the car stop locking up the brakes.

When this happens, if you crack open the bleeder, there will be a spurt of brake fluid. Its a good idea to replace 30 year old brake hoses anyway!
