fuel gauge

Post by nibbes123 »

Does anyone know the resistance between the fuel gauge and the sending unit in the gas tank. Looking at installing an aftermarket gauge, don't if I have to buy a ford, GM or chrysler guage .

why change just one gauge? won't match anything else on the dash.

the resistance varies, that's what makes the needle move. You can use an ohmmeter to measure the range of resistance in your sending unit
