any chance you could make the Shaft of the rear Bumperettes flush with the body or is this the final design ?

the next version (2.0) will incorporate a change to that area where the horizontal tube will not be visible. you'll only see the rectangular piece coming through the rubber gasket.

those things were a real PITA to get functioning. three functions:
1. high/low beam headlights
2. marker lights
3. turn signals

the LED turn signals can really play havoc on your incandescent flasher system. unless you are ready to change the other bulbs to LED, and change the flasher unit as well... you are faced with adding a load resistor to the circuit. the distributor of this light kit is of zero assistance on this, you gotta do your own research for the correct resistors, then find and install them.

THEN, if that weren't enough, the LED marker lights and the LED turn signals are in identical locations and are the same color and intensity. it is not possible to see the flashing turn signal when the marker light is on. SOOoo.. i installed voltage reducing diodes to the marker lights to reduce their intensity. then, it is possible to see the turn lights flashing when the marker lights are on. Again, the distributor is of no help in this, and you gotta do your own research and installation of the diodes.

to top it off, i was never able to get my dash turn indicator to function properly, though i tried two different load resistors. i think i need to try different flasher units.

be prepared to go without lunch for a few days when you decide to dive into this modification. the light kit (without resistors or diodes) is nearly $200.00; unless you choose the two function kits which cleverly omit the turn lights.

i bought mine at:

good luck with this project. eventually, i intend to write it up... but not until after driving season.

Mike

I think if this is what i've seen before it should solve your problem, a none resistence based Electronic Relay
maybe it was at Pep Boys i saw one >? it's been a while i was going to place one in my fiat just to make the
signals run smooth .
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/552-Turn ... ccessories

To get the LEDs to flash just use a relay triggered by the turn signal to break the circuit running to the parking light
then you have your flash !!!

Thanks for the link i really like these lights !

those non-resistance relays work great if you change both the front and the rear lights to LED.

i chose to stay incandescent with the rears, and hence all the monkeying around i needed to do to get my system to work with these lights.
