cornrow carpet still available?

Post by wengr »

hello, are carpet sets in the original cornrow material still available? Or better yet, the bulk cornrow carpeting so I can cut them myself?

You can get the charcoal grey "loop" carpeting at Home Depot for $.44 per square foot. Looks just like the original but a shade lighter. $30 should get you a 6' x 12' piece that can do the entire car plus the trunk.

Anyone have a template? Or can one be downloaded? I don't have any carpet in mine to even start with.

I used a hot glu gun to install the insulation, found a solidly backed carpet and cut to fit, and glued to the insulation. Kinda like upolstery work. Then I tore it all out for the new console. But there is a good indoor-outdoor solid backed Im goin with soon.
