Wheel Adapters Info Needed

So I've been thinking about using wheel adapters to go from 4 x 98 to 4 x 100. I've searched the forum and found a few threads talking about the pros and the cons but couldn't really find anything that specifically said "this is what I bought, this is how much I paid, and this is what I think about them".

I've found multiple places on the net to buy them some very expensive like 50 bucks per spacer and also found a set on ebay for around 100 bucks for a set of 4. I know you never know what you’re getting when you buy on ebay but the price caught my eye.

If anyone has any personal experience with running the spacers I'd like to here about it and or if anyone has a set they are thinking about getting rid of for some reason... thanks

You can use rims with 4*100 bolt pattern if you buy new bolts with variable pcd, just make sure to buy the right length.

I've got a set of mag wheels I'm trying to make work. I don't think those are going to work for me.

This is what I think about them: You will have to oepn the hub center to fit the fiat hub centric size. Taper the holes of the adapter to fiat the Fiat bolts. Do not use any wheel spacers on them. Buy new longer bolts, put some blue thread lock and you should be fine.

You will be scared at first since you will notice every bump but the thing is not going anywhere.

So the lug holes aren't tappered when you bought them? Did you take them to a machine shop to do this work?

The lug holes are flat and the hub hole is small. You can specify to them during the order process to make specific changes for you or take them to a local machine shop.

These spacers/adapters are used by 4 wheelers all the time to correct for axel swaps or even give a wider track to the vehicle for stability. They are perfectly safe, I would trust them 100%.

They have the taper your looking for when using the stock lug nuts, and they come with studs, and nuts.

They have the taper your looking for when using the stock lug nuts, and they come with studs, and nuts.

I had adapter/spacers custom made because I wanted them to be both hub centric and wheel centric. This way everything is centered on the hub. This is really critical to avoid vibration:

Wouldn't that spacer need a recess in the back to accept the hub interference ring in order to be hub centric, Or is the 58mm hole an interference fit with the hub ring?

This was for a Scorpion, but I think all Fiat hubs are 58mm.

Because someone got a deal on billet? These don't have hubcentric rings so thats a downside. I am making a hubcentric inner shaft which will locate the hub to the adapter, adapter to the wheel.
