The 500 of course, it will be in limited quantities
The Alfa Romeo Mito will arrive here in 2011
Fiat Panda will be rebadged as an entry level Jeep
Alfa Romeo 159 will become the Milano
What to expect from Fiat
Re: What to expect from Fiat
i am really disappointed about the decisions to rebadge stuff. but, of course, most USA residents would be shocked if everything we drive today were badged "properly".
Re: What to expect from Fiat
Alfa Romeo will be the brand in America, not Fiat. All four car will eventually be built here. Two in Mexico and two in U.S.
The Panda is built in Poland by FORD, but will be built in Mexico along with the 500. I am assuming that Fiat cars will become Chryslers and Jeeps, while Alfa will become the premium brand.

The last word I heard was that the 500 would be sold here as a Fiat, but that will be the only Fiat model offered. Alfa's will be sold as Alfa's. And Chrysler will use some existing Fiat platforms, but the cars will have "American designed exteriors and interiors for American tastes".

The city of Kokomo, IN sent their Mayor to Milan to bargain and loby for their four Chrysler plants and basically the lifeblood of the city.

What does that mean? A bunch of extraneous exterior plastic panels that couldn't survive an impact from a bug and cost $1000 to replace, all plastic interiors where knobs fall off or break with the first use. Don't forget the "supersized" cup holders.

i'm surprised no one has posted that the abarth division is being revived. Making a lotus elise based sports car. looks pretty sweet.

That is exactly what I thought when I read that quote in the article a few days ago.
