Are Private messages sent to actual e-mail address or notifi

Post by 72124 »

Can someone tell me if private message are sent directly to the registered posters e-mail or just to his PM box on this site? Is there any e-mail notification that a site poster has something in his Fiatspider.com box or would thay have to actually check it without being prompted? I'm trying to contact somebody in another country who can maybe help me with a Spider I have stored there.

THANKS
So Cal Mark

PM's are sent to your inbox on this site, and an email notification is sent that you have a new PM

Thanks Mark. Hopefully the posters e-mail is still valid since he hasn't posted in a while.

I've been viewing all your posts on the process of what to do when a Spider sits for long periods. Mine has been sitting for 10 months of the year (sometime 2 yrs) for the last 20 yrs. I use it for 2 months and have to put my baby back to sleep. I've always been able to get her going although she's not quick to wake and it's always an adventure when we go anywhere.

I do most of the things you've advised, unfortunately many can't be done until I get her started and drive to my mechanic 2 miles away. This time it's 2 years sitting and my mechanic will be unavailable so I don't know what I'll find when I go shortly. No matter, I'll find a way. I just love that car! The cost is prohibitive to ship her back home to CA for a major overhaul so I may have to save up and fly you over to Greece.

Any Greek Spider enthusiasts out there who can suggest a contact in Greece? Closest big city is Patras.

I've always wanted to go to Greece! A working vacation? Sounds okay to me, as long as there's time for site-seeing and beverages!

CA Spider that lives in Greece

You would never want to work once you got there, unless you were motivated to get her going for a test run on a small road, along a gorgeous sea, music up, top down and blue skies with actual fresh air! It is the perfect car for there and a great motivator to keep it in good running condition. In Greece, they always make time to relax and have a "beverage".

Thanks for the help inside all the posts here at fiatspider.com. Probably won't be back online here until after I arrive there. Need to take care of some potential travel arrangement problems. I'll check back from there with a slooow phone line.
