I wonder when they are going to come out with a 426 Hemi Spider to compete v8 sports cars

Will this be a model that we will get a Government $4000 discount on, by trading in our older spiders?

I my book, if they wanted to come out with a great new model for the US market, Fiat/Chrysler should come out with a retro 124.

Craig, did you know that the V-10 for the Viper was built by Mercury Marine! I guess you can call it an inboard engine.

Actually the 1st generation Viper had its engines tunned by Lamborghini which at the time was owned by Chrysler.

Thats true, Chrysler and Merc. Marine designed the V-10 for the Dodge Ram with cast iron block. Lamborghini helped turn that Iron block into an aluminum block and tune it for a sports car. The engine for the Viper, if I can remember was hand assembled at the assembly plant here in Detroit, but Merc Marine was responsible for castings and parts.
I remember seeing those Red Vipers driving around town for a year before they started production.
