oil problem

Post by Tappy »

Srr i didn't have time to be on the board lately , especially to Alvon and Ron , but i'll be back somewhere next week and catch up with you guys

I only have some spare minutes to ask , but how can i get the sludge out of the oil sytem ,What i mean is the water that got mixed in the oil due headgasket problems

I'm not able to get the engine out this time , and i also cant buy products like Seafoam because they can't be shipped from the us

I've did some reading about using petrol or 0w20 oil to clean out

any suggestions are welcome

thx

Tappy, I dont think you want to go to a 0w-20, it is too thin of an oil...even for short periods of time. Just drain it completely, add the regular oil and run it for 50 miles, drain and refill with regular oil and run for 100 miles then drain. Now you should be good to go. New oil filters at each oil change also.

You can add a quart of atf, it has a high detergent content, but don't try washing your clothes with it!

That's good news. How's the water temperature looking? Did the head gasket appear to be shot when you removed it?

A, Temps is looking good infact its barely goes up to 190° Didn't find any leak on the gasket , but it was kind of torn appart removing the head , but i believe i can assume that the loose bolts caused the problem
