hey guys i recently required a 74 124 fiat spider with a 1800. it had a blown head gasket and one cylinder was completly sized up. so im playing a complete rebuild. i was really hoping on getting 140HP outa it. im having a hard time finding parts for these little jems so any links and or sugestions would be greatly apperciated. also i will need to redo the brakes pads and rotors will any other brakes transfer over such as a miata ect. thanks

well, supersnake... welcome to the forum. please stop by the introduction section and tell us a little about yourself. being active and social in forums like this is a great way to start finding those parts you find elusive. stop by the parts wanted section and let us know what it is that you can't find and need.

we also have a great list of vendors that are just itchin' to sell all of our common wear items, and many restoration bits.

good luck with your project. don't forget to snap some photos and share them

snake, i had mine built up by mark at allisons automtive. it puts out over 150. we did it by following the specs in crofts book and by using marks headres and exhaust system. i can spin the tires in 3rdf gear, its a fun little car.

If you're looking for oversized pistons or bearings, I lucked out on some 1608cc engine stuff through our regular vendors. Try them at Vicks Autosports http://www.vickauto.com/ and International Auto http://www.international-auto.com
I was really surprised to find original sized piston rings and .010 over main bearings since the engine I'm working on is a bit more obsolete than the one you're working on.
