check out the paint on these Mercedes. I for one think it would look pretty sweet on a spider. Who agrees?
EDIT: images arent showing up, dunno whats wrong with it, but heres a link to the originals. The ones i'm referencing are on the bottom of the page

I like the silver/blue.Then again, nothing looks bad on a 300SL. IMHO that is one of the most beautiful car designs ever.I have never seen one w/o the bumpers.Sweeeet! Its like a gullwing ratrod!

Those are just computer models, I pitty the man that would try that with a real one.
Re: sweet idea for a paint job
I like them. They look cool. I like the way the exhaust comes out in front of the tire. Has anyone ever tried that with the spider?

Re: sweet idea for a paint job
nice idea, but you would have to use a small muffler up front and have a real short exhaust. would be louder then my sey up. which is pretty loud. a guy at a show once asked if i had a v8 under the hood with the sound and the way the car shook at idle.
Re: sweet idea for a paint job
well then I guess it could work. Looks like there is enough room for the exhaust where the cat would go. I wouldn't want it super loud though.
Mark, if you read this. Do you have any pics of the way your exhaust sits from the back. I thought someone said it runs down the middle. If so, does the direction eliminate the muffler hitting the brake line? Also, do you have lay away? LOL

Re: sweet idea for a paint job
yeah mark, whats up with the layaway.
Re: sweet idea for a paint job
my exhaust does not hit the brake line, did you mean e-brake cable?
I'll be happy to lay you away

Re: sweet idea for a paint job
Yeah Mark, the e break. Does your exhaust system run under the car in the same place as the stock one? I'm asking because I'm doing all the mock up for the car and if need to make changes to run yours. I would like know whats different. If you could, PM me what the cost would be for a complete sys., no cat. dipped for a 1800 eng. on a 81 body. No lay- a- way , LOL
