Are the rocker panels painted Black? Or is it just the lighting?

I cut the rear spings one coil as well the fronts not sure yet. I like the way it handles and a previous thred mentioned too much off the front could upset the geometry. Currently the lower arm is about 5- 10 deg up from being level with the ground and I thought cutting the spring would increase that angle when I thought the lower arm "should" be more level with the ground. The springs were IAP red "stiffer" springs.
