good idea , i have problems with mine popping open randomly , a smart garage keeper used duct tape and removing that i've pulled of some paint
an other lock didnt solve the problem , i think with the new motormounts the engine is in higher , i even cant get the original turltleback aircleaner on , so i've replaced it with some K&N air filters , i could trie another hatch but i dont think that will help
that said extensive pulling wil open the hood , but i dont garanty no damage
