Pop out of 2.nd gear

Hello.
I bought my -74 spider last summer. When i bought it, the 2nd gear popt out when the car "hang on the motor" Its ok when i acselrate. I had the transmisson out and opened this whinter and thought i had found the problem. The nut on the yoke whas lose and the shaft could mowe. This i thought meant that the sync.....? did not got realy attach. Everything else seamed to be ok. So anyone what can it be?? The gear whas yust the same.

My 82 started popping out of 4th gear after I owned it for 6 months.It was a worn shift fork.It required pulling the tranny,so I went ahead with a rebuild while it was out.I was told people 'resting' their hand on the shifter can also bend the fork and cause it to pop out.

mine used to pop out, found a tranny and had a guy get the sync and swap if they was good, and well it has not since
but now it sat for 17 years, i am sure it still good

could be too much end play, or worn slider, synchro and fork or a combination of all those
