Hi everyone,
I have only had my Spider for a week, so am still learning what everything is and trying to find replacements for missing or broken items.
Down on the centre console between the handbrake and ashtray, there are 2 switches, or at least there should be. One is a longish rectangle shape with a double ended switch in it, and the other one is much smaller and more square shaped. This one is missing it's switch, so there's just a hole there. I've seen one picture only of a Spider with the same setup, and the switch had a fan picture on it. I've been searching, but can't seem to find this one anywhere, only the longer one.
Mine is a 1979 Spider 2000.
Thanks, Lisa

Re: Question about interior switches
The longer switch is the fan switch. I believe the little square hole in the console is for a lens that lights up and isn't actually a switch. I installed a little rocker switch in the hole to be used for foglights I never purchased.

Re: Question about interior switches
Oh ok, thanks for your help.
I will have to stop looking for a switch, and try finding a light then...lol, no wonder I couldn't find one anywhere.
Otherwise a switch for something else is a good idea.
Thank you

Re: Question about interior switches
Lisa, do you have an original center console, or one that has been recovered? if you have an original console, getting that little lens in place should be no problem... i think it says "fan" and should be located right next to your actual fan switch.
if you have a console cap, there won't be enough clearance for that little lens to be properly mounted, as the cap adds just enough thickness to make that prohibative.

Re: Question about interior switches
Is this the piece you need? I have a console cover and it will still fit with the cover.
