Hello again.
Perhaps I need to post this elsewhere?
Firstly, i need to mention that my car has been converted to Right hand drive. (I live in Australia)
Could someone post a pic of how the top of the gas pedal is supposed to look like. I suspect mine has been bastardised to accomodate the RHD conversion.
Many thanks
Also. may need help locating/buying a pedal.
Cheers

Re: Spider accelerator/gas pedal
When I converted SPYDUH to RHD I copied the setup on my RHD 124 AC coupe. That meant fabricating up a tricky little bracket which the nylon pivot blocks mount onto and welding the bracket in the correct location on the curved panel of the inner wheel well. I don't know how other RHD converters solved the problem, no doubt each one is different
You should be able to source a pedal assembly from a Coupe somewhere in Sydney, they never wear out. Try Ross Smith at Fiatorque.
Here's a pic of the standard set up in an AC Coupe.

Re: Spider accelerator/gas pedal
Thanks mate, I need to see the part of the pedal that the cable hooks onto.
It just seems to be cropped out of the picture.
It should be like your 2nd pic (AC coupe), but mine doesn't look anything like it.
I'll try and post a pic of mine later.

Here's the top end of SPYDUH's pedal .......
.... and this is what the throttle cable connection point looks like
Hope that helps.

Re: Spider accelerator/gas pedal
Thanks mate, you're a legend!
mine doesn't look like that. Its been sawn off.
Is that pedal from a spider? Would you consider selling it?
Otherwise I will need to cut the top off a coupe and graft it onto mine.
I need to sort this prob because I have to replace the accelator cable.

Re: Spider accelerator/gas pedal
The pedal shown in the bottom pic is from an AC coupe and one I'd like to keep as a spare (sorry not for sale ) . It's identical though to the one that's in SPYDUH, but I'm not sure if that was the original LHD one that I transplanted, or one from another RHD coupe .

Re: Spider accelerator/gas pedal
I wonder if an early Spider pedal would help. I'll look for one I took out of a 72 parts car. If you're interested PM me.
