My first Italian motor vehicle was a '64 Vespa 150cc motorscooter, which is now a stablemate to my '78 Spider.
The Vespa's starter died about 20-25 years ago. Every few years, I think about reviving it, and this may be the year. Now that Vespa is back in the US, parts should be readily available. There is a dealer about 30 minutes from here, but I'd like to try to fix it myself, first. I do have several manuals.
I assume the procedure is similar to reviving an old Fiat: first clean out the crap. Then replace the spark plug, cables, hoses (if any?). Then deal with the starter.
The gas tank presumably holds what used to be a mixture of 50-cent gas and 2-cycle Pennzoil.
My wife says I should put the Vespa in the dumpster, or have it crushed into a cube and put a glass tabletop on it. I'm hoping to get some more optimistic advice here.

Look in the phone book and count the number of entries for Crushers... then flip over to the Attorneys section and count the number of PAGES!
