Canvas Top Dealer Question

Post by RedWolf »

Hello,

I'm in the market for a new canvas top after 10 yrs of faithful service and was wondering if anyone has ordered one from Duettomotors.com? I bought my last one from Bayless and was happy w/it but Duettomotors appears to sell the same one for $70.00 less. If anyone has dealt with Duettomotors, were they pleased w/the top, service, etc.?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

I'd like to know as well, seems like a decent price if the top is good. seems from here that many of the links on the site are dead.

I went ahead and placed the order so I'll let you know how it goes. The price was a lot lower than anyone else for canvas material.

Not sure what World Upholstery charges for shipping, but I bet it's less than the $30 from Duetto. They sell a genuine Haartz canvas top for $365 vs. the $299 from Duetto. The folks I know that have purchased tops from World have been very pleased. Not familiar wuth Duetto, so you'll have to let us know.

Any update or review on the Duetto top? or anyone with a World Upholstery top? also there is an ebay seller in California with a $309 Haartz top. I have a feeling with no evidence that most tops available come from a small number of manufacturers, and are distributed with different names and with a wide range of price points. is this so? What's a good quality, good fitting genuine Haartz cloth top for about $299?

OK. I am going to revive this thread as I am looking for a top and need help deciding which is the best value. I have searched and this is what I have found. The prices below are all for vinyl tops.

Robbins - 275.00 but need to have business.

Duetto - 229.00

Bayless - 225.00

World Upholstery - 245.00

Topsonline - 195.00 (EZ On) 273.00 (Robbins)

Ebay seller - 209.00 (I believe this is the same seller as topsonline)

Has anyone had any experience on these dealers? Does anyone know if there is a quality difference between these tops? Has anybody bought a top and had issues with quality? As much info that you have would be appreciated.

Here's my update - received the Haartz, tan, canvas top from Duetto very quickly and am pleased w/the quality. The cost was $300 plus $29.90 shipping.

It was very similar to the one from Bayless that lasted me 10 years. The only difference is that the new one from Duetto Motors was a slightly lighter shade of tan. Overall, pleased and am glad I went with them.

I have located a NIB (originally purchased in 2001) from Bayless for $150.00 shipped to me. I will post updates once it is installed.
