Re: 1978 spider, bleeding calipers
I've been looking at that CL post for a while, thought about buying it, but my wife would kill me as I already have two. Well like I said, I'd be more than happy to help out with your brake work, and turn that purr into a growl. If the user name does not give it away, I live in Manoa. Boogiedude, What do you need, I probably have it. 2 weeks, thats good cuz I might have to help another friend with their spider this weekend.
Dave, I just bought my tickets today, I almost forgot about lunch. Let me know if there is a part you want me to bring, hopefullly its not a trans or block. I'll be driving thru Indy on Sat May 23rd. I don't know yet what day I'll pass back thru, maybe the 27th or 28th.

Re: 1978 spider, bleeding calipers
it would be quite the stroke of luck if you did, but unlikely haha, from what i know of atm, i am going to replace the calipers, it needs a new top, it has a small crack in a pipe near the exhaust manifold, and it might need some electrical work, the hazards didnt seem to work

Re: 1978 spider, bleeding calipers
Yes to all 4. I have many good calipers cores for rebuilds, and have the kits to rebuild them. Your calipers may be good candidates for rebuilds if not too bad. I have a pretty good top from a 76 car that I'm parting out. I have stock exhaust pipes, sections, and can weld pretty good. Electrics are just getting good grounds and making sure things are hooked up as per the electrical diagrams, but if the switch itself is bad I have that too.

Wow. You're kidding right? Talk about lucky for me lol. How much would you be asking for them? Just a rough estimate

FWIW, I've purchased parts from Matt in the past and was very satisfied. Not that shipping is an issue for you. But for the rest of us let me say that even tough he is in Hawaii, my parts arrived in less than a week and were very well packaged.

Thanks John, although lately I've been a bit slow to get some parts to some people, as I've been buisy. Today I'm woking on my Jeep, in the rain, starter went out.
