Brooklands manual for 83?

Post by wengr »

Hello, I see the brooklands manual reccommended here in other threads, but the only one I find says it covers up to 1982. is 83 that much different that I should consider a different book? what else can I consider as a good shop manual for an 83? thanks in advance.

I have an '83 Spider Europa. I also have the Brooklands manual and the IAP shop manual. Are you looking for something specific? I can scan (some pages) and send to you.

thanks for the replies, and Europa, thanks for the kind offer but I better grab my own as I'll be needing many sections of it. so do you prefer the IAP or the Brooklands? Also, I have only heard of 1985 models called SpiderEuropa's. Is your car a euro spec 83?

Mine is a eurospec Pininfarina Spider Europa. It could have been imported from Europe or from Canada. The label on the fuel filler door has the unleaded fuel only sign in French.

As far as the manual is considered, I can tell you that the IAP and Brooklands manual are different. Basic information is the same. I was advised my the members of this forum to obtain as many manuals as possible and then reference them before working on the car. I do trust the advise from this group and they have guided me and provided valuable information.
