possible gauges and dash setups pics wanted

Post by Tappy »

i was reading an other post on replacing the clock with an oil pressure gauge so i was wondering wich same style (veglia) gauges you could add to your dash. I've always liked the clocks on classic cars so for now this is what i came up with i you find something else pls add with a picture :) also various setup of dashes would be nice , ive seen some on the forum like that 124 coupe-like dash or one of those nice wooden dashes , or that great fiberglas one

besides the speedo and tach , gas , watertemp , and clock i've found a amp meter , a oil pressure meter (2 kinds) , a battery voltage meter , a oil temp meter

i believe these come from a stradale

Ugh! Who wants to train their neck just to see their gauges? I don't like the bottom setup at all. I would like to have all those gauges though! especially oil temp!

I don't necessarily dislike the concept of that bottom setup. Covering the dash all the way across with a smooth expanse of padded vinyl, and then defining spaces with different gauge/control clusters seems like an interesting idea to experiment with. Main cluster in the middle would drive me nuts though.

Personally, my preference is for the wood - it's one of the charms of the car if you ask me. I have toyed with the thought of the fiberglass dash that Mark is working on, but even if I went that direction, I'd veneer most of the front face with wood.

I don't like that center cluster, it looks like a street rod, But I do like the seats though

Kinda looks like a model A Spider. It looks like there's some kind of cover over the back seat area right behind the front seats?

i gotta agree with Mark. Too much USA custom hot rod look... and, i can tell you by personal experience that the gauges in the center of the dash are too far away from the driver's eyes to be accurately read unless they are angled toward the driver. looks nice from the curb, but impractical....just like a hot rod.

and, yeah. those seats look nice.

in picture #1 & #2, the gauges came from at least three different cars.

i'd like to purchase a Veglia amp gauge if anyone has one for sale.
