For those of you that have removed front and rear bumpers, when refitting is it best to fit the shocks first then mount the bumper to the fitted shock, or is it easier to fit the whole thing assembled. I have restored front and rear and i suspect I should have left the shocks attatched to the car. Any help appreciated.

I installed the frt one complete, I put a little silicone on the rubber bushings so they slid in easier and used a helper. In the rear I did the same on the pass side, but unbolted the bumper at the bracket on the driver's side since I didn't feel like dropping the tank.
