Spider on TV

Post by ROOK1 »

I have recently found what may be my new favorite TV channel, Discover HD Theater (Comcast 663 in Utah). I was watching a show called Classic Car Club where they review different classic cars. This episodes highlight was the Jag E-type but they happen to touch on the Fiat 124 Spider for just a few minutes. If you get a chance try to find the channel and see the review, nice comments and VERY nice Spider.

I guess that requires cable, huh? Oh well, if they end up on utube I can enjoy it too.

I was able to save it to my DVR, now I just need to find out how to get it to my computer.

well, at least that show does pieces about classic cars on the "Classic Car" show.

last couple of times i viewed "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage, the entire shows were devoted to substantially modified Detroit Iron. He should change the name to "My Custom Car"

i don't mind seeing customs occasionally. i appreciate all the work and effort, and money poured into them... however...

some peoples' interpretation of the word classic leaves the door wide open to just about anything and everything except unmodifed, original, or fully restored historic vehicles.

Discovery HD Theater has been running a lot of pretty neat car stuff. I have been watching some of the Mecum classic car auctions. They have a show called "Chasing Classic Cars" where they follow a classic car dealer in Connecticut in his quest to find the next perfect car. I wasn't aware of the show you mentioned, but I just programmed it into the DVR. Thanks for the tip!

I absolutely love Top Gear....no spider on yet, but they are really friendly towards Fiat.

Here's a nice review of the 500 Abarth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXALDprqcuc

And a great comparison/competition between the SL600 vs Mazda MX-5 vs Toyota MR2 vs Fiat Barchetta.

I think it's the best all around car show on TV.
