opening stuck glovebox
Does anyone know how to open a stuck glovebox? The knob locks and unlocks and turns but will not open. I think it is just a matter of the latch being too tight against the glovebox hook? I think it has a 1979 glovebox door on a 1971 glovebox/dash. The overall fit of the door seems tight. Maybe it's just due to the very poor shape of the dash (sagging). Any tricks to get it open again are appreciated.

I'm sure you probably tried this, but when mine gets stuck, I keep pushing the door in and out and turning the knob until it comes free.

Re: opening stuck glovebox
After putting a dash cap on nothing seemed to fit well and my glove box does not latch, it seems to bind in the closed position and will pull open with some effort. I guess I need to add removing the glove box and looking from underneath so see what is really happening, and fixing it. Good luck with yours.
