Double check before I buy stuff

I just want to be sure about a couple of things before I place an order.

First: I am getting a timing belt and tensioner for my upcoming timing belt change. Vicks has a "tensioner bearing" (http://www.vickauto.com/cgi-bin/store/02-4346.html) and IAP has a "tensioner" (http://www.international-auto.com/timin ... ioners.cfm).

The one from Vicks looks like just a wheel. The one from IAP looks like a wheel attached to a bracket. Of course the IAP page says that this item is not available for my car ('76 Spider), so maybe the picture is a tensioner for another vehicle, but I just want to be sure that if I order the tensioner bearing from Vicks that I am ordering the right thing.

Second: Mark suggested I replace the air pump belt while I am in there, since it is under the timing cover. Vicks shows a smog pump belt, which I am assuming is the same thing, unless I am wrong, so someone let me know if I am.

You need a tensioner bearing. The reason the IAP page says that part is not available for your car is because that part is for Alfa-Romeos. This is the part you need: http://www.international-auto.com/index ... 41&noapp=1.

The smog pump belt and air pump belt are the same thing.

now that your car has passed the smog check, I'd leave the air pump belt off until the next inspection is due. Your motor is an interference motor and a seized smog pump can cause the timing belt to jump, bending valves.
