What size is the nut that holds the steering wheel on? Old style ('76). My biggest socket is a 22, and if I'm gonna go buy one socket, it might as well be the right size.
Yes, I know - just go buy a good metric set. Still...

I think it's a 24mm Steve. Although I don't have one, I use my 15/16 SAE to get it off.

Tried it with my 22mm socket and it was a tad small, the socket that is. The conversion from 15/16 to mm on my handy dandy internet chart equals to 23.813 mm however. Go figure
