Speaker protection

Post by FiatColombia1 »

I was looking inside the fenders after I removed the plastic wheel wells and it seems that water finds its way even behind the covers.... also saw the speakers without any protection.

I found this plastic covers:

http://www.crutchfield.com/g_762/Foam-S ... 2809&avf=N

they also are being sold in ebay. I think it might be worth it. even more if your not using the plastic fender covers.

I know we avoid driving when raining but I still want to block water every possible way

I wanted to share this idea

Good idea. There aren't many Spider 'upgrades' that can be had for under ten bucks.

I guess when you have a good thing you dont change it. I bought those exact same speaker baffles from Crutchfield about 15 or 20 years ago. The price hasnt changed much either.

You can also fabricate your own using plastic flowerpot liners available at the local nursery. I paid about 35 cents for mine and they work great with a little silicone glue.
