Naked, and on stands

Finally got her in for body and paint! Shes on stands in her boxer shorts! Forgot my dang camera! The three of us wasted no time, now shes without hoods, doors,W\shield, trim or wheels. I bought replacment pannels for the quarter panel wheel openings cauz rust and bondo issues. Only problem is, its an hour away, but I will be there every weekend. Need to order new rocker panels, and rear wheel wells. Also think Ive located the conv top I want, Its blue-grey ( looks grey ). Now to choose colors! Still workin on custom console later today. Its been a 3 year process to get to this point, at least it runs great! Cant wait to show her off at some shows next year! Will have some pics next weekend.

No pics?! Bad, bad Dave. I'm excited for you and, having been down that road, I'll also pray for you. It's a lot of work but so rewarding once everything starts to fall into place.

Well, we had my pic, but the glare was awful. I am the apprentice, and the media person.Joe is doin the interesting skilled work thats worthy of recording. I get to run the body grinder to remove ALL the paint. The pass side body is looking great. I cant believe the body lines Joe is perfecting. There was some previous damage that got re-worked and looks terrific! We worked about 6 hours today, and Im wore out, but its a good thing! I took a few pics today also, someday Ill figger out how to post em, meanwhile, theyre on my site.

We actually rolled it on! It was only 18 degrees F Sat morn so we fired up three space heaters. Later we went to the barn and drug out the old wood burning stove. Need some special pipes to hook it up, hopefully well have a fire next weekend! Progress is good, not speed-wise, but the work is great, and Im still smiling! We wrapped it up, and I bought Joe a 20 oz Rib-eye steak ( me too ) and had a few drinkies also. Always let your body-man beat you at billiards! ( or pretend like you did anyway! )
