I'll use the stock 4-2-1 and dual downtube, then shop-bent 1-3/4" to the rear of the car. This unit is an inch thicker than what's there now, but should clear OK.
Will let you know in January how it sounds and performs on a modified 1.8 Unfortunately, I won't be able to A/B with a stock system, due to the cost of dyno time.
I'm eager to get started on the powertrain rebuild, but still want to drive whenever the weather cooperates. Hmmm, maybe if I had another Spider ....
