Here is the 82 Spider with pictures

Post by GOPAPA »

It is missing the rear bumper and Mirrors as I took them off . The guy said he took the car for past due rent last year and it was running at that time . He also said it did have a pass seat but figured the renters sold it at the time that they moved out and had to give him the car ,,he also got a car with no convertable top or hardware and the starter will not engage the flex plate .
So I bought it for the rear bumper ends and a couple other small things and now will part it out and not try and restore it because the floor is patched up in places with tin cans and it is more money than I want to spend ,,especially with a automatic Transmission. LD

I don't bring cars back to life when they are this bad .. I look around and buy one like this one from CL that is not so far gone .. by the way if you want the 82 I have ,, I got a matching pair of Mich. License plates you could put on it . LD

Do you want to sell the motor and are you willing to ship it to the other side of the Earth? I just got a call from a fella needing a 2L.

Yes ,,I am going to part out as much as the forum wants and then I might go CL for local my area depending whats left and then ??? not sure what to do with the rest?? maybe a flower pot out by my shop.. Still got to think about the big items though ,,not sure I want to build crates and all and still make it cheap enough to help folks out with shipping being so high .. LD

Denise,

I just saw this on CL and thought of your fella that needed a 2L engine and it is far closer. $295 for a 1980 2L, it doesn't specify if it is a FI or Carb.

Denise ,,

If your friend just needs a block then he doesn't need a whole engine so if you want to , you can give him my email address for these Fiat parts I am selling and we can talk about just what he wants left on the engine and what not to leave on ,, again like I mentioned in my PM to you ,, I read where shipping motors is upwards to at least $200 . But , if he wants to pay that much for shipping it's fine with me . I just want to help others out rather than junk it . LD

also thanks for the bump
