It's pouring out here!
Supposed to be mostly cloudy tomorrow, maybe a light passing shower in the morning. I wonder how the group from the Bay area is doing on their ride down.
I shouldn't have washed my car.

if you kept your car in the living room like Denise, rain wouldn't be an issue. When you washed the car you'd also be shampooing the carpets

Ahhh. . . . the weather's looking better today so far. We're planning to be at the Lamp Lighter for breakfast between 7 and 7:30.

My cell phone got wet in the rain yesterday and quit working, so I'll be using a different number today, 805-766-9783, if you need to find me.

got wet three times on the way there this morning. my car dosent presently have a top. it was a great show, met more new people and some ol friends. i think the best part was actually driving my car home, blasting down the fwy like a little kid playing with a new toy.
this guy showed up with a freshly restored 69 that cost about $25,000 to complete. that was an awesome car, almost all original. someone will post pics soon. at the end the guy from the classic cars show showed up and did some filming. he stood next to the restoed 69, cesars car was right next to it so you should be able to see that on t v soon. my car was just down the line, should also be visable. and i finally got to meet Ricardo, what a nice guy. thanx again for lunch Rudy.

As the guy with the newly restored 69 124 Spider, I'd like to thank EVERYONE who so graciously gave me their encouragement, compliments, support information and comraderie! I had a blast discussing the car with everyone, and your reactions made all the time, money and frustration of the restoration well worth it. And, I certainly did not expect to take home a trophy!
I look forward to future events, especially those where we get to drive our cars in great settings.

Who's light blue Fiat with the black top and the white lettered wheels is that?

How much has that car been lowered and where did you find those wheels?! that is the exact look I have been looking for

you mean white top? thats eladios 73. he wants to raise it some due to the lack of travel and rough ride. when he bought it, it was even lower. he got the wheels on ebay, they are the exact wheels that came on the first gti in the u s, except for the bolt pattern.

Ah I guess I was typing to fast in excitement to realize what I was actually saying. I guess it is a white top, but I could've sworn I saw it with a black top in your photobucket pictures... and I meant tires rather than wheels, I love RWL tires and I want to find some to fit the turbo wheels

You weren't seeing thing leesfer, the car did have a black top three days prior to the show. You probably saw one of my old pics in my photobucket album. Which wheels are the ones you like? the ones on the car with the black top or the wheels on the car with the white top?

The look of the black top is amazing. What size tires are those, and how much is the car lowered?

I have been over to Ventura all week working with my brother, so I didn't get a chance to post a few pictures I thought you'd all enjoy that I have from the event. Ace is sort of unassuming so it's left up to me to mention that he brought home a trophy. It's the "Best Driver" trophy. I'm not sure we have him convinced yet that it's for the car and not an allusion to his abilities behind the wheel. Way to go buddy!

This is about 1/4 of the cars that were there:

These are the cars that took the drive up to the Sequoias as the Bay Area group headed north. The Lancia in front is Ken Haven's, it boasts over 300 HP. The last four cars are George's yellow one (Cecat on the forum), his brother's dark blue one, Ace's and my red ones:

This is a shot of a Jolly (for sale for $49,000), a very nice Multipla and 500
