I am currently working on restoring the interior of my 1985 Pinna. I have used Hustmat under the carpet area and over the transmission well. However, I am concerned about the heat that usually comes off the transmission while driving. The original insulation was much thicker. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts or tips on insulating this area better before I put the carpet down.

Thanks for the reply. I did review that. I ended up putting Hushmat on it and I am going to see how well that works with the heat. I post again once it warms up enough to take it out again.
