As mentioned above - I also have a 1974 with an electric pump.

Re: fuel pump with the key on
My 1974 CS1 is wired for electric fuel pump, but PO removed the pump while replacing the engine with a European engine that had mechanical fuel pump. Wiring and relays for electric pump are still there.
I am starting to suspect that the mechanical pump is beginning to go bad, reading about the symptoms on this forum, and would like to install an electric fuel pump again. Does anyone have any pictures of where in the trunk the pump should sit, and how the fuel lines should be wired in a 1974?
The 4-way check valve is still there in the trunk (but charcoal cannister is removed and vapor line is plugged in the engine bay) and next right to it I have two rubber studs. But the green/black wire does not reach all the way to the studs, so I doubt, these are for mounting the fuel pump?
