78 124 spider carb

Post by Drleeky »

Hello. I'm hoping for some help with my 32 ADFA carb that has a constant dribble of fuel in the secondary. I cleaned it and put a rebuild kit in with no change. I took the top off and the float bowl is about half full, the fuel return line is open yet the slow drip continues. Any ideas as to why the secondary is overflowing? Thanks

That might be too high. Remember the gas level will rise even farther when the top is put back on and the floats are partially immersed in the gas, and the floats take up a lot of area in the bowl.

Do you know how you set your float level, and to what spec?

Thank you 18, you pointed me in the right direction. The problem was me thinking I could convert 6 mm to inches in my head. I went online for the actual conversion and applied that # (.234375) and solved the problem. Simple and free. Thanks again.
