Hi All,
I know that the 1592 cannot be bored to the 1756 84mm size because of the water jackets. Can it be bored to 81/82/83mm?
I read somewhere that an 81mm bore was ok? What about 82/83?
Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: 1592 engine bore sizes
I don't know. The 1592 engine is unique enough that I've never heard of any overboring like you're talking about. Overbores up to 1mm are generally OK for all the engine sizes.
Just curious: Why not just use an early 1800 (1756) block? Early 1800 blocks used the same 10mm flywheel bolts as the earlier engines, so you should be able to reuse your existing flywheel. Later 1800 and 2L blocks used 12mm flywheel bolts.
